It was a week ago I first went down to SOVA's Metro Pantry, located just a few doors down from the store on Beverly Blvd. I have been very fortunate in my life and have been on the lookout for a place I could give a few hours of my time to give back to the community. SOVA seemed perfect, not just for the convenient location but because it's a Jewish organization that provides groceries for people in need, Jewish or not, and that very much resonates with me.

Beit T’Shuvah   is an excellent organization that Diane Merrick proudly supports. For more than 24 years, the West Hollywood-based residential treatment center and a full-service congregation has been offering outreach to the entire community including prevention programs, family and alumni counseling and support, court advocacy and professional training. Beit T’Shuvah integrates mind, body and spirit in a holistic and organic approach to recovery and life. This event was a fundraiser, but the main goal was to raise awareness for Beit T'Shuva and its programs.

It was a fabulous evening at the Beverly Hilton where guests were treated to hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries and Haagen-Dazs ice cream while listening to hip music and watching a few short boxing matches. Boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard and Frank Stallone were on hand to honor renowned boxing coaches Emmanuel Stevens and Freddie Roach. The main event was a boxing match between Tom "The Hebrew Hammer" Arnold and Beit T'Shuva Rabbi Mark "The Holy Thief" Borovitz. Arnold had his sweat wiped by "Parenthood" actor Dax Shephard and emerged as the evening's champion to grand applause.

Event chair of this fabulous evening was none other than our own Roger Simon. Thank you, Roger for a great night!

The weekend's hottest movie seems to be on the minds of everyone this weekend! The movie inspires fierce fashionista's everywhere; A few of our wonderful customer's have come in to purchase outfits for their own "girl's night out" at the Arclight in Hollywood to view the movie tonight.

The fierce foursome in the movie have inspired many women across the nation to indulge in friendship, fashion, and a good time. This weekend is paid a due to girlfriends all over and the free spirit that carries them   around town.
